The 65th Chapter - Find Your Feeling

Feb 19/17

Have you ever felt a feeling of not feeling it?  Whether it is in a work environment or when you were younger growing up in school?  Or perhaps now in your personal life?  Have your views and ides seem so different from those of your peers?  When you expressed these ideas were they received with a general misunderstand by others?

If this did happen did your confidence suffer and as a result of lower confidence levels in you, did you stop sharing your ideas?  As you knew your unconventional thoughts would not fit into others current ways of thinking.  As time progressed in this environment did you ever reflect on your ideas of past and now see others coming up with your ideas you previously had shared with the same folks?  At the time when you shared your same ideas that were not adopted and now are they are met with excitement.

As time has passed all of the above has occurred to my at some point in time in my life.  There was a time when I struggled with these experience and the direct result was the overall lowering of my confidence.  Which lead me to question my ability to have strong critical thinking skills in both the work force and my personal life.  As with patterns, usually the effects of our experience in life will be both in our work life and personal life.

As I continue on this life's journey - there was a time when negative comments of my expression did affect me and the result was a withdrawn sense of self.  Inward I was still the same person although outwardly I struggled as I was trying to fit into my surroundings and to be accepted.

As we are social beings and the need is strong to be a part of our pack, I realized I altered my response in alignment of that goal to fit in.  Key ingredients of behavior is different in all of us, yet the need to produce value and to be value by our pack is in everyone.  I have spoke before about the power of words and how they can impact others, is the thought that comes to mind now.

How often have you expressed something and been met with some type of negative reinforcement?  Did it cause you to stop or alter your path based on that negative feedback?  By being able to realize this is a key component in the communication loop and is another key to unlocking your gift that is lying in you wanting you to discover.

At first it will feel uncomfortable and unnatural to express yourself to others, yet I am going to encourage you to push past the feeling of wanting to stop your growth based on negative reinforcements of your environment factors given to you by others.  As long as your coming from a place of kindness, push yourself and go forward.

Explore and grow your gift.  It may have a large effect to other around you or may not, however that should not be your goal to look for significant feedback others at the beginning.   As your goal is your growth with no expectation from others.  Once you start to explore, take feedback both positive and negative from others.

Reflect and decide what feedback content can be utilized to further help your growth.  Picture the feedback as a form as water to the young growing apple tree.  The pattern of growth in nature requires balance as well your internal growth will also require balance.  Be mindful of the negative feedback that you will not allow this to stop your growth and to impact on what you truly want to do in your life.

It took me 42 years to finally start writing and sharing my thoughts with others.  As I continue to create, the sense of expression has provided me the gift of growing confidence and enjoyment of being able to share.  My encouragement to you, is to start living your life based on your internal compass.  Timing is a key ingredient for success, so perhaps the timing is right for you to start right now taking baby steps in the direction you truly want to go.

As you start to do this task, I assure you will look back at your life at some point and be grateful that you took that first step to follow your gift and create your passion.

Now is your moment and make each thought count of unlocking your greatness.
