The Message Is Free—But the Mission Has a Cost: Why I Keep Writing Even When the World Says ‘Not Good Enough’
There comes a point in every Kingdom journey where you hit resistance—not because you’ve missed the mark, but because you’re getting close to the one that matters most.
I’ve always believed that words carry power. Not just poetic power, but prophetic power. The kind of power that shifts atmospheres, breaks chains, and calls sons and daughters back to the Father.
That’s why I started writing.
Not to go viral. Not to build a brand.
But to serve the Kingdom.
To pour out what the Holy Spirit pours into me.
To make sure the fire doesn’t stay hidden.
But lately, I’ve come face-to-face with a cold, hard truth that most creatives won’t say out loud:
The message might be free—but the mission has a cost.
And if you’re reading this, I need to be honest with you. Because I’ve tried to keep the words flowing without asking for help. But it’s reached a point where I can’t keep this going without support.
This isn’t a cry for sympathy. It’s a call to partnership.
I Tried to Monetize This Platform—But the System Said ‘No’
For months, I’ve been trying to take what I write—these messages of fire, healing, conviction, grace—and turn them into something sustainable. Not for profit’s sake. But for purpose.
I applied for advertising.
I tried the monetization options.
I followed the steps.
I submitted my content.
And over and over, the result came back the same: Rejected. Not suitable for monetization.
Not because the writing is hateful. Not because it’s plagiarized. But because, in the eyes of the algorithm, this kind of truth-telling doesn’t qualify.
Let that sink in.
Words that point people to Jesus?
Reflections on grace, the Holy Spirit, repentance, purpose?
Writings that have led people into conversation, confession, even salvation?
Not suitable.
I can’t lie—at first, it hit me like a punch in the gut. I started questioning:
-
“Is my content not good enough?”
-
“Do I need to water it down to get approved?”
-
“Would it be easier if I stopped talking about Jesus?”
But then I remembered—this isn’t about approval from a platform. This is about obedience to a calling.
What I Do Isn’t Popular… But It’s Prophetic
The truth is, Kingdom work doesn’t often fit in the world’s business model.
Jesus never said it would.
He said:
“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.” —John 15:18
So why should I expect my content to be embraced by a system that isn’t built to recognize eternal value?
I write to disrupt.
I write to deliver.
I write to glorify God in a world that glorifies everything but Him.
And while I’ve never written for money, I have reached a point where continuing this mission—writing, maintaining the platform, creating resources, and expanding the reach—requires support.
Not because the fire is fading, but because the fuel is running low.
I Want to Supersize My Service to the Kingdom
Let me be clear: I’m not asking for a handout. I’m asking for alignment.
Because I believe with everything in me that these writings are meant to go further. That there’s more books, more messages, more global reach ahead—if I can keep the flow going.
I believe that the voice God has given me in this season is meant to:
-
Shake sleeping Christians awake.
-
Invite seekers into truth without judgment.
-
Spark revival conversations at dinner tables.
-
Heal past wounds with present truth.
-
Call the prodigals home.
But to supersize the service, I need a way to sustain the system behind the scenes.
That includes:
-
Website maintenance
-
Hosting platforms
-
Publishing resources
-
Marketing materials
-
Outreach strategies
-
The basic cost of time, research, editing, and Spirit-led output
And most of that? It comes out of pocket.
If You’ve Been Blessed by These Words… Consider Partnering
I won’t guilt you. I won’t manipulate. That’s not how the Spirit moves.
But I will ask plainly:
If anything I’ve written has stirred your spirit, pointed you to Jesus, helped you through a tough moment, encouraged your walk, or reminded you of who you are…
Would you consider sowing into this ministry?
I believe the best way to grow the Kingdom is together.
And if you’ve been following the flow, if you see the value in this voice, if you want to help amplify the mission, then this is your moment.
I’ve set up a direct way for you to give through jensencraig12@yahoo.ca (via PayPal or e-transfer in Canada).
You don’t need to give big. Just give what the Holy Spirit leads.
Maybe it’s a monthly gift. Maybe it’s a one-time seed. Maybe it’s not financial—but you forward this to someone who can help.
Whatever the case, this is about obedience, not obligation.
Biblical Reflections on Partnership, Provision, and Purpose
Let’s bring it back to the Word. Because everything I do is rooted in it.
Here are three scriptural truths that keep me grounded, even when the platform says “no”:
1. Kingdom Work Is Worthy of Support
Paul made it clear to the early church:
“If we have sown spiritual seed among you, is it too much if we reap a material harvest from you?” —1 Corinthians 9:11
Paul wasn’t ashamed to receive support. Because he understood: when you give spiritually, it’s okay to receive practically. Not for luxury—but for longevity.
This isn’t about profit—it’s about perseverance in the mission.
2. God Uses People to Fund His Work
In Luke 8:1-3, we see that Jesus’ ministry was supported financially by women of means.
“These women were helping to support them out of their own means.”
Even the Son of God didn’t operate in isolation.
He allowed people to partner with Him—financially and practically.
Why? Because the Kingdom flows best when we all play a part.
3. Sowing into the Spirit Yields Eternal Results
Galatians 6:8-9 says:
“Whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life… Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
That’s the promise I’m holding onto.
Not just for provision.
But for harvest.
For souls.
For breakthrough.
For generations to be impacted by a word spoken in season.
Three Ways You Can Help Multiply This Mission
If you feel led to be part of this movement, here are three things you can do:
1. Sow Financially (jensencraig12@yahoo.ca)
This is the simplest, most practical way.
Every dollar goes into fueling the mission—writing, publishing, equipping, and expanding. I promise to steward it with integrity and prayer.
2. Share the Message
Send these writings to friends, pastors, co-workers. Post them on social media. Start a conversation. Help more people find these Spirit-led reflections.
Evangelism doesn’t always start with a pulpit—it starts with a click.
3. Pray for the Flow
Intercede for this mission. That God continues to pour out. That every barrier breaks. That platforms that have rejected the message become places where revival breaks out anyway.
Your prayers matter more than you know.
Final Word: The Fire Will Keep Burning
Let me end with this:
Whether I get approved by a platform or not...
Whether the algorithm recognizes the anointing or not...
Whether the system sees value or not...
I will keep writing.
Because God keeps speaking.
Because people keep searching.
Because the message matters more than the money—but the mission still requires means.
If you’re moved—partner.
If you’re blessed—share.
If you’re stirred—pray.
If you’re able—give.
And together, we’ll keep pressing forward with a voice that carries Kingdom purpose into every corner of the culture.
Thank you for reading.
Thank you for caring.
And if the Holy Spirit leads you, thank you for giving.
Let’s keep going—for more than before.
