The Second Book The 37th Chapter - Watch For Your Example

Aug 22/17

Have you experienced doing something new in your life that is completely different than what you are normally used too?  At first, this experience is exciting and new and does line up to your passion.  However with time sometimes the reality of this passing of time sets in and what was once so exciting now feels uncomfortable and scary.

I am currently in the middle of this process and in fact I was almost going to give up on my quest and passion.  I was struggling and still ask myself, if I am on the right path for me.  I feel sometimes my confidence starts to suffer with the newness of this experience.

A few days ago an amazing example was shown to me by my son.  He has a good job however the one aspect he does not like is that the work requires him to work outside in the winter time.  For those of you that know of Canada's north, you will know it is extremely cold for long periods of time.  For those of you that don't know of this cold, I would highly recommend you to leave it that way.

His example to me was, as winter approached he decided to not want to experience another winter working out in the cold.  With that decision he decided he needed to return to post secondary education to align up with his goal of not working in the cold.  He realized what he didn't want and in a moment put plans in place to change his reality.

Sounds so simple as I write about this, yet it is.  It is us that makes this transitions difficult and we become our biggest hurdle to our success.  As I was younger and making my way in this world, there was several times I wanted to make a change in my day to day work life however I didn't make any changes.  I didn't follow what I wanted my path to be, I didn't follow my alignment.  I continued to slowly plod along in the path of security with the cost of losing who I really was.  I realized another cost was I was not making my own path and as I worked hard to be successful, I could never completely lead the pack in my past environment because I didn't know my path.

My thoughts and process of ways of doing things were not in alignment to the people I was working with.  The feeling of never truly fitting in existed each day and I realize now that is because I wasn't following my path.

As I carve out my new path it feels good with the fact I  know my next step and is sustainable.  For those of you not sure of your next steps and if your can relate to these words.  I encourage you to make your move forward and to first start looking for your example of how to learn this process in your life.  Chances are they will appear in a form or by a person you least expect that lesson to come from.

Capture that gift of example and from that starting point be grateful for the awareness provided.  Armed with your new example find your path and enjoy the feeling of knowing your on your path.
